David Tatman is the President of The Tatman Group. David brings over 20 years of association management experience in service of our clients.  David has worked for and represented a vast array of professional and trade associations in a variety of capacities.  David has assembled a strong team of professionals from other professional and trade associations that bring diversity and depth to The Tatman Group and provides a team that mirrors a proprietary staff. 

David Tatman began his career in association management with the Boy Scouts of America.  David worked in the New Orleans Area Council as a Senior District Executive.  David later served as the Director of Development at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. David worked to create a development program that enabled the hospital to generate tremendous community support and further the mission of the organization as an unparalleled force in both the health care and non-profit organization arenas. David was recruited by one of the most successful trade associations in Louisiana in 1990. In his work there he quickly rose through the ranks. David initiated programs and services that helped the association grow and prosper during a very difficult political time. The organization set records for membership development and revenue generation for the association in his tenure there. 

In June of 1997, David formed The Tatman Group, LLC. In the first year, the company had landed a most impressive client list, representing business and professional organizations from throughout the country. Within a very short period of time, The Tatman Group became a significant force in association management and government relations in Louisiana.  The Tatman Group represents a wide range of clients from large multinational organizations to statewide professional and trade associations. 

David is very active in the community and participates in many local and civic organizations.  David has been recognized by local business groups as a business and community leaders. David has been recognized Baton Rouge Business Reports Top 40 Under 40. David was recently elected to the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.  David is also active in his church and school parish as volunteer, a coach and a leader. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Psychology from Nicholls State University. He resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife Maria Battaglia-Tatman and their children, Carley, Morgan and David, Jr.
